FOR CAMDEN, HIS LEGACY AND THE KIDS STILL FIGHTING

I’ll be running the 2026 Berlin Marathon with the Camden Bailey Cancer Foundation to fight cancer -- a cause that’s deeply personal to me.

On December 10, 2025, Camden Bailey passed away after a courageous eight-year battle with osteosarcoma. I still remember being a junior in high school when I first heard his diagnosis, not fully understanding what it would mean -- or what the years ahead would ask of him and everyone who loved him.

Even though he was three years younger than me, I always looked up to Camden. In high school, he was an all-state quarterback, class president, and graduated as salutatorian. He had a rare ability to make the extraordinary look effortless -- and you would never have known he was fighting cancer in the background. He never complained about his diagnosis or asked, “why me.” He just kept showing up.

Watching Camden go through treatment reshaped what strength looks like to me. He meant the world to me, my family, and so many others, and the pride I feel for him is hard to put into words. His resilience, his humor in the toughest moments, and his refusal to let cancer define him are the kind of courage that stays with you.

When I think about why I run for the Camden Bailey Cancer Foundation, I think about the way Camden chose to live. Even when things were hard, he held onto a simple belief: “find joy in the journey.” Over the past year, he made it a point to stay close to the people he loved and keep showing up with strength and kindness.

Please consider making a donation, every dollar counts.
